Meaghan Burdick
Advisor
Meaghan has spent her career mobilizing grassroots support behind political candidates, advocacy organizations and issues, and is recognized as one of the most effective and innovative fundraisers in the business when it comes to raising dollars at the grassroots level.

Over the last 18 years, she has developed and managed all aspects of grassroots fundraising, target marketing and stakeholder engagement, including strategy, message, donor and prospective donor targeting, and analysis and budget management of direct mail, email and merchandising programs.

From her time at EMILY’s List as a Direct Marketing Assistant to serving as the Director of Marketing and Merchandising for President Barack Obama’s 2008 and 2012 campaigns, Meaghan has raised more than $1.1 billion from email, direct mail, phones, merchandise and personal fundraising for organizations, causes and campaigns. In addition to direct marketing, she has the unique experience of being the first fundraiser to sell campaign merchandise for political contributions. In doing so, she changed the role and importance of merchandise in political campaigns by raising almost $40 million for the Obama campaign.

Prior to working on the Obama campaigns, Meaghan developed and oversaw the online and offline grassroots programs as the Director of Direct Marketing at both the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee in 2004 and the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee in 2006.

Meaghan’s experience also includes serving from 2009 to 2011 as Deputy Chief of Staff and White House Liaison under Administrator Karen Mills at the U.S. Small Business Administration. At SBA, she managed day-to-day priorities and programs, as well as led key aspects of the Obama Administration’s small business agenda and public engagement strategy.

Meaghan launched Burdick Consulting Group in early 2013, and has a variety of clients which include political campaigns, charities, foundations as well as private businesses.
